Postal Link Provides Cost Savings

Portland, Oregon – Springbrook Software, Inc., a leading provider of fully integrated enterprise software solutions for local government, announces the release of its postal address certification product, Postal Link.

This new product is available for all versions of the Springbrook application; even if clients are currently using Postal Soft, migrating (free of charge) to Postal Link at the end of the annual maintenance year will still save clients money.

Certifying addresses with the United States Postal Service is a proven cost-reducer and could save organizations thousands of dollars in postage expenses. Springbrook clients will now be able to take advantage of the latest technology directly from the Springbrook application without the hassle of importing these addresses into another software product. With Postal Link, once billing statements are ready to be printed, one click of the mouse will launch the fully automated certification process.

The process begins by transmitting all of the addresses within any billing batch to the dedicated postal server at Springbrook's office; every address is then verified against the latest records the USPS has on file. Once this process is complete, these certified addresses are transmitted back to the billing batch and all accounts are updated automatically.

To assist organizations with the address changes that were made by the USPS, clients will receive a detailed report of the accounts that were updated. In addition, each account will have an audit trail record associated with the updates (available in version 6.05 only) for complete tracking purposes.

The benefit of the Postal Link application is cost savings. By certifying all of the addresses within billing batches, organizations will be able to reduce postage rates by as much as $0.09 per billing statement over standard postage rates. Even if organizations use postcard-sized statements, money can be saved by certifying those addresses. Based on the number of accounts that are billed annually, the return on investment for Postal Link could be realized within a few months.
