MAX Light Rail/ Taxi/Shuttle Service

Using the MAX light rail system is an inexpensive, efficient way to travel from the airport to downtown Portland. The MAX runs every 35 minutes and costs less than $3.00 for a two-hour, all-zone adult ticket. The airport MAX station is located on the baggage claim level; there are ticket machines both inside the terminal and outside, near the arriving and departing trains. Purchase an all-zone adult pass and board the redline MAX. After approximately 40 minutes, exit at the Pioneer Square North stop in downtown Portland. From the MAX stop, walk south on SW Broadway towards SW Salmon Street. Springbrook is located on the corner of SW Broadway and SW Salmon Street.

While Springbrook recommends the MAX light rail as a primary method of transportation, visiting clients may choose to use alternative options. Taxi service from the airport to downtown Portland runs between $35.00 and $40.00. Springbrook recommends Blue Star shuttle service as a more affordable option; rates with Blue Star are $14.00 per person for a one-way ticket or $24.00 for a round-trip ticket. If interested in scheduling a shuttle reservation, please call 503.249.1837 (please note that shuttles run every 30 minutes from the airport and do not require a reservation).

From the Airport (PDX), westbound:

From NE Airport Way, take the I-205 S ramp towards Portland/I-84/Salem.

Merge onto I-205 S
Take the I-84 W/US-30 W exit, Exit 21B, towards Portland
Merge onto I-84 W. Stay in the center lane (City Center) as approaching the I-5 split
Take the I-5 S exit toward Salem. Stay in the right lane as the I-5 South ramp curves left
Take the OMSI/City Center Exit on your right and proceed to far right lane
From the Morrison Bridge entering downtown, you will end up on
SW Washington Street
Turn Left onto SW Broadway
Turn Left onto SW Salmon Street
Turn Right into the parking garage in the 1000 Broadway Building.

From Seattle, southbound:

From I-5 heading south, take the OR-99E exit, Exit 300B, towards
US-26 E/Oregon City/OMSI.
Keep Right at the fork in the ramp. (City Center lane)
From the Morrison Bridge entering downtown, you will end up on
SW Washington Street
Turn Left onto SW Broadway
Turn Left onto SW Salmon Street
Turn Right into the parking garage in the 1000 Broadway Building.

From Salem, northbound:

From I-5 heading north, take the I-405 exit on the left towards
City Center/US-26 W/Beaverton. Stay in the far left lane to merge onto
SW Harbor Drive.

Merge onto SW Harbor Drive
Continue straight and go through SW Front Avenue, SW Harbor Drive turns into SW Clay Street
Turn Right onto SW 6th Avenue
Pass Main Street and turn Left into the parking garage in the 1000 Broadway Building.

From Beaverton, eastbound:

Take the Sunset Highway, which becomes US-26 E. Stay in the center lane as you are approaching the Vista Ridge Tunnel after passing the Washington Park Zoo exit.
Take the Market Street exit. (Center lane in tunnel)
Continue straight on Market Street towards 6th Avenue
Turn Left onto SW 6th Avenue
Pass Main Street and turn Left into the parking garage in the 1000 Broadway Building.
