CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS ASSOCIATE - UTILITY BILLING
$3,473 - $4,085/month, plus benefits
POSITION SUMMARY: Incumbent is responsible for billing City customers for water, sewer and garbage services and providing the associated customer service, accounting and collection activities. Coordinates the processes required to generate bi-monthly billing of multiple utility services following established procedures. Resolves customer account problems, receives payments, balances accounts and facilitates collection of delinquent accounts. Provides back-up support for other Customer Accounts positions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) and two years post high school training or experience in accounting support and customer service activities, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job listed. Requires intermediate computer and spreadsheet skills, and accurate 10-key calculator skills. Must have excellent math skills and experience with general office equipment and procedures. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, the public and manage multiple tasks.

Hampden Township, Cumberland County (population 24,135) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Finance Director. This position reports directly to the township manager and will be responsible for all financial and accounting matters of the township including budget preparation and administration, payroll and utility billing.
The township is seeking strong technical skills, including knowledge of governmental accounting and reporting procedures in accordance with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and investment strategies available to Pennsylvania local government. Familiarity with Springbrook Software’s Finance suite, Utility Billing suite and codes are desired. This position is responsible for a $28 million budget and 119 full-time employees. The required minimum qualification is a bachelor's degree in accounting, public finance administration or related field; certification as a CPFO or CPA is desired. Qualified applicants will posses a minimum of five years experience in management, finance matters and/or public administration along with demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar sized organization.
